Road-based apps kept planning my mountain races like flat 10Ks, so I built the plan I wanted. Karkloof 30 miler: 1st. Giba Gorge Backyard Ultra: 2nd. A 3-hour marathon. Next up: DNT and MUT George in 2027, with my plan running inside the app.

How it works

Tell it the race. Connect the watch. The weeks are built back from the finish.

01

Enter your race

Date, distance and vert. The plan starts from the course, not a generic pace zone.

02

Sync your watch

Strava or Garmin Connect. Elevation, grade and effort come from the run you did.

Powered by Strava Works with the Garmin Connect app
03

Get your plan

It builds back from race day, up to 18 months out, and adapts week to week as the training comes in.

Built for the race in front of you

Plans built around the climbing

The week follows the date, the distance and the climbing of the race, then it changes with how training is going.

Synced to your watch

Strava or Garmin Connect pulls in elevation, grade and effort, so the next week is based on the run, not a typed recap.

Built around race day

Plan up to 18 months out, with day preferences and room for the week to move when life does.

Share with a coach

Share the plan with a coach when you want a person on the calls the week can't make alone.

Trail knowledge

Race recon, fueling for multi-hour efforts, and gear notes for the terrain you're training on.

Runner's Survival

Points for the work, milestones and a leaderboard. A reason to open the app on the easy days too.

Free while we build

All features are free while we build. Train as an athlete, or apply to coach.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. Every feature is free while we build, including plans, watch sync, the calendar and Runner's Survival.

How is this different from Strava or TrainingPeaks?

Strava stores the activity. TrainingPeaks is built around load and structured workouts. Elite You starts from your race: the date, the distance and the climbing. It builds the weeks backward from that day, then adjusts them from the runs you sync.

Can I use a coach?

The plan stands on its own. You don't need a coach to train. When a coach is approved here, you can share your plan with them. If you coach trail and ultra runners, you can apply.

Is it beginner friendly?

Yes. A first 5K and a 100 miler use the same idea: the plan is built for the race you entered, including the climbing, from where you are now.

Which watches sync?

Connect Strava or Garmin Connect. A Garmin can connect directly. Coros, Suunto, Apple Watch and most others come through if they already send activities to Strava.
